Anyone else now hearing the Mamas and the Papas singing in their heads? No? Just me? Okay then. First off, some laughter to start off the week...
Can I get an amen? Oh yeah. As I look at my calendar for the next week and month, I see days filling up and new challenges awaiting me. I have no time to write "On My Nightstand..." posts, but that's okay because I have no time to read! In the weeks ahead, I see very little time with Peter (because his work schedule is so crazy), and I see goals being met. I see exciting times and stressful days.
I was looking around on Pinterest for something to share today, and I found all kinds of funny little quips about Monday, but
that's when the Lord reminded me of the only truth that I need to remember...
Will you join me in choosing to rejoice and be glad
...even on Monday?
We overlook many opportunities to rejoice and revel in single every day, even Mondays :). Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteEvery.Single.Day. Blessing to you, Martina!
DeleteThat verse always sparks a memory for me, my mom singing it to me and my sister to wake us up for school, then it was annoying, now I look back and now want to do it for my children! Mine start Kindergarten next week, new tradition?!? I think so!
ReplyDeleteNew tradition? YES! It's funny how those songs from childhood come back to you as an adult - there were days when I was working at the pharmacy that I would sing this song all the way to work, just try to get myself in a better mood. ;-)
DeleteYes, I hear them singing... and probably will for the rest of the day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder to rejoice in today! Makes me think of Psalm 103:2 - "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not ALL His benefits!"
Another wonderful reminder - thanks Elizabeth!
