The winner of the Tea Time gift set was randomly selected by Peter, because it's easier to say, "Honey, pick a number between 1 and..." then to take a screen shot and crop and upload the Random number selector. While brushing his teeth this morning, Peter said something that sounded a lot like "Eishteen" when I asked him to pick a number. After he finished brushing his teeth, I clarified that he said, "#18", which correlated with this comment...
Congratulations to Keri Creighton! You'll be hearing from me soon so I can get a mailing address. I hope you enjoy your box of tea goodies and think of me while you're sipping away. Thanks to all who entered - I loved reading about your favorite books and movies from childhood (lots of my favorites were listed as well - I knew you had good taste!).
Now, shall we get on with the very last giveaway to celebrate my Two Year Blog-a-versary?! I'm seriously doing the {happy dance} over this one and wish that I could be eligible to win! There's good news, bad news, and better news, so let's get this thing started.
First off, this is a TWO-PART giveaway. Giveaway A is open to anyone in the world (because I will ship anywhere), but Giveaway B (which is being sponsored) is only open to people in the U.S. of A. Hopefully Giveaway A will make up for that.
Ready for the really good news? This week there will be FIVE WINNERS!!! Didn't see that one coming, did you? {happy dance} Giveaway A offers two chances to win, while Giveaway B will be awarded to three lucky readers. I know, I know, enough of the details, let's get to the prizes, eh?!
Giveaway A (open to anyone in the world!): Up for grabs are two of these adorable magnets that I picked up at my local Hallmark store. They are similar to the Red Letter Words art found online, but are sold at Hallmark through Urban Soul (at least, I think that's how it works). Today I'm excited to offer two of my favorites (I have both on my fridge - they hold my weekly work schedule) and hope that they are timely reminders to you each day that you see them. They represent lessons that I have been learning in the past year and have shared about on Busy Nothings.
Giveaway B (open to those with a MAILING ADDRESS in the States) is why I'm writing this post with a huge smile on my face. When I first found Red Letter Words last year, I thought it was adorable. I love Dee's use of Scripture as art (I want this one to hang in our new chocolate living room - it was the Scripture read at our wedding), but I also love her city, country, and area-themed artwork (I can't decide between this one and this one though).
She's got something for just about everyone, so if you haven't made a virtual stop at Red Letter Words yet, now is the time to do so! Why? Keep reading...
I wrote Dee and explained that I was celebrating my second year of blogging with a bunch of giveaways and that I loved her work, and she graciously offered three of my readers the chance to win sets of her amazing note cards! It's like getting art in the mail...or if you want to be selfish and keep one (I totally would!), they would be adorable in a little frame.
Perfect for weddings, Easter, or Christmas!
If you win, you can chose any set from her website and then let me know which set you chose and a mailing address and I'll pass the information on to Dee. So, here's how to win this week:
1) Leave a comment on this post and tell me your favorite Scripture verse OR city/location (this one is mandatory to be entered)
2) For a second entry, go "Like" Busy Nothings on Facebook and leave me a SECOND comment on this post telling me that you are now following through Facebook.
Remember, if you live outside the U.S. (with no U.S. mailing address), then let me know in the comment that you're entering for Giveaway A (the magnets) - everyone else will be entered for either giveaway.
I was originally hoping for a cafe print to give away, but when Dee offered three prizes instead of one I couldn't turn her down! I hope that it gives you a taste of her work - enough that you'll look for her line at Hallmark or purchase directly from her website. Remember, Christmas is coming and some of her stuff would be perfect for your wish list! (*I was not compensated - other than through gifts for my readers - for my positive comments about Red Letter Words)

I like the "Apples of Gold" cards and the "For there is born to you this day.." cards. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDelete...and I already "liked" your Facebook page...
ReplyDeleteHey! Am I eligible to win? I could win one for my super sweet wife! I hope I pick me!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I'm not sure what to write here... :-) Let's see, one of my favorite verses is Isaiah 43:1 "Fear not, for I have redeemed you. I have summoned you by name; you are mine."
ReplyDeleteObviously I am entering for YOUR giveaway since I live overseas :-)
I already like Busy Nothings on FB :-)
ReplyDeleteProv 3:5-6 is a life verse for me. I am open to both great giveaways. Congratulations on 2 years of blogging, I appreciate your creative way of using your gifts to bless so many!
ReplyDeleteLike to the 2nd power! Have a US mailing address and will be there by 2012.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite verse is the first one I memorized when I became a believer -- Romans 8:28. My big sister Patty died of cancer 30 years ago at age 18, and it was seeing her faith in the face of death that made me want to give my heart to the Lord. <: ) Romans 8:28 is the verse written on her tombstone: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
ReplyDeleteI already liked you on FB, too. : )
ReplyDeleteAnother great verse: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23
One of my most favorite Scripture verses is "the LORD's unfailing love surrounds the (wo)man who trusts in Him." Psalm 32:10
ReplyDeleteMadison, GA
In response to your contest, last night megan and I had a visit with our pastor at our house, and I felt like we still don't have enough artwork and scripture in our home (not that he cared)! The Bible verse that holds a special place in our hearts is Matthew 18:10.
ReplyDeleteI'm still liking ya on facebook! :)
ReplyDeleteOur empty fridge could use some magnets :) One of my favorite verses has been Philippians 1:6
ReplyDeleteComment #3 looks worthy of a win ;)
as I type this comment I started thinking the words "like" "liked" and "liking" are strange. Maybe it is how they form in my mouth. Main point of starting this comment was to say "I have liked you on facebook"
ReplyDeleteMission accomplished.
Ok, my favorite verses are Jeremiah 29:11-13. Not on FB, so not fair that I can't win #2 prize!!! But, would definately follow you if I were on FB!
ReplyDeleteYour husband is not allowed to be part of the drawing!!!!
Love,
Donut

ReplyDeleteyay! it worked this time!!! also I already "liked" your fb page :)
ReplyDeleteHard to choice a favorite verse since I love so many and it depends on what is on my heart at any given moment. However, Phil 4:13 and Proverbs 31:30 are the two that I think of most often.
ReplyDeleteI "like" on facebook.
ReplyDeleteGrace to all who love the Lord with an undying love. Ephesians 6:24 This stuff is great!
ReplyDeletePhillipians 4:13 is my favorite!

LOL @ Peter's comment!! =D
ReplyDeleteI just noticed these magnets at our local Christian bookstore the other day!! =D How exciting!
My favorite Scripture passage (or one of them, anyway) is Psalm 27:13-14 ~ "I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord."
How on EARTH does one pick a single favorite verse? This week I have been contemplating Job 1:21...can that count as my favorite? It'll be something different next week, I'm sure! :)
ReplyDeleteok I'm posting again...just for fun b/c your fb status reminded us too...not sure if I can but you will let me know :)So I liked your fb page, I posted my fav verse and I think the other option was location??? I think. I LOVE the jungle of Peru!!! I LOVE the beach, I LOVE beautiful places!
