What a fun assignment this week on You Capture - thanks Beth! She suggested that we go back over the year and select our 10 favorite photos of 2010 for this week's link up over @I Should Be Folding Laundry. It was harder than I thought it would be to limit myself to 10, but I tried! I only started participating in the You Capture assignments back in mid-August, but I have been having so much fun! It's like I'm looking at the world through the lens of a camera - even when I don't have a camera handy. Thanks to all of you who have left kind comments and encouraged me as I have played around - you are part of the reason why this is fun! Happy New Year and Happy Capturing in 2011!
And that's all from this photographer! Thanks for visiting!
All of your photos are beautiful - I especially love the one with the books. I could use some serious reading and relaxation right now!
ReplyDeleteI also found this to be a bit harder than I expected. Thought I would have trouble finding 10 shots I loved...but it was actually harder to limit myself :)
ReplyDeleteStill love the rain on your deck. And that hat on your books is SO you! (Strange to say when I don't really know you but I can just see you in it!)
Really like the coffee shot too!
Ooh the books with the hat, I can just imagine that day, it must have been a great one!
ReplyDeleteI really like the book one too. Great feel to it. ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the books, too. And the one of the faucet just PROVES that you look at the world differently than most. Who takes pictures of their faucet? You do, and you made it look like art! Posting the self-portrait at the end was a very nice touch. I'm glad you joined up, too.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. I adore the one of the coffee. Beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteMarla @ www.blueskiesphotoblog.com
utterly delightful!
ReplyDeleteHi Carrie! I see you in all of these photos! That's what makes them so beautiful and unique. I think my fave is the coffee, which seems to be smiling back at you--or the viewer, me :-)
ReplyDeleteBut must agree with the others that the hat on the books has a special appeal/draw, basically saying, "This is what's really important."
You're consistency with blogging and follow-through serves as an example to me, so this year, I'm asking the Lord to help me order my life better: Whether here, there, or on the road to here or there, I need to set a schedule for writing.
Thanks again for sharing your photos, your skills, and yourself right here at carrie's busy nothings!
Lovely collection - love the one with the books!!!
