First up, my dear friend Amy has generously offered to give away two hair bows (perfect for little girls) - any two bows, any size, any color combination! Make sure you check out her website and pass this great give-away on to your friends with little girls in their lives. Since I only have nephews, I won't be vying for this prize. {wink}
She was also kind enough to answer a few questions I had (thanks Amy!)...
Carrie: How did you get into the business of making hair bows?
AMY: I started making hair bows as a creative outlet and possible money-maker as a stay-at-home mom. I don't have any little girls of my own, but I do babysit a sweet 2 year old and have enjoyed getting to play dress-up with her. She thinks all the hair bows I make are for her. :)
AMY: I love having an at-home business. It allows me to be here for my kids. I can throw in a load of laundry, prep for dinner, do homework with my oldest son and still be able to get work done for the business.
Carrie: Can you use any kind of ribbon?
AMY: I use 3/8 inch grosgrain ribbon. In order to get the ribbon to curl it has to be heated and grosgrain ribbon withstands the heat and holds the curl well.
Carrie: Do you have a favorite color combo?
AMY: My favorite color combo right now are the fall colors -- plum, orange, brown, rusty red.
Carrie: So, want to share how long we've know each other, how we met, etc?
Because of shipping I'm afraid we'll have to limit this giveaway to those in the U.S. only - unless you have a U.S. address (family) we can ship it to. Sorry friends overseas - but come back for tomorrow's giveaway - I'll ship it anywhere!
AMY: I have known Carrie for over 13 years. She was my very first friend I met when I moved to Tennessee. She is the type of friend that it doesn't matter how long it has been since we have seen each other -- we can just pick up where we left off. The conversation is never dull and the laughter is abundant!
Here's one from back in the day - I think I was 16 in this picture! Hmm...and I still own and wear that sweater.
The feeling is mutual Amy!
Thanks for being willing to do this - the hair bows are adorable!

Winner will be announced on FRIDAY!
I know a family with 8 girls and one boy (3 adopted)! I know those girls would love these! I would pick the red and green one and the red and black one. Thanks and congrats on the anniversary!
ReplyDeleteHmm...no little girls myself, but I have 7 nieces who would love these! I'd probably pick something with lots of pinks - it seems to be their favorite color. Or maybe fall colors or Christmas colors. Thanks for the giveaway!

Tons of special little lovelies in my life. None that are mine, but many who would wear these adorable bows. I'm partial to the pink and brown one you have posted.
ReplyDeleteWait, would it be inappropriate for a 34 year old "girl" to wear it?? ;)
